Penny was moved out of CCU, yesterday afternoon. First they moved her into a room with two beds. The other patient at one time had six visitors, two of whom were children. A nurse came in and saw this and asked her if she would like a private room, mom who is somewhat like Garbo in her standoffishness, said "Yes, please." So they moved her to a private room.
After my Sunday night fit, her primary doctor was rather unpleasant with her yesterday. The meat-head who gave her the Procrit, then came in and asked if I was a nurse. Mother said no, but she is very smart and has been taking care of people for years. I wish mother had been quick enough to say she's a doctor you chauvinist, even though I'm not it would have been nice to put the jerk in his place. Oh well......
Today they have done breathing tests, and have given her a booklet about COPD. She is still anemic-they gave her a unit of blood yesterday, and have been giving her iron shots today. The meat-head nephrologist did tell her today that her kidney function was improving.
This anemia concerns me. Please keep praying.
God Bless,
Heather Page
