Update-1/1/09

Thank you to everyone who is praying for my mom. We had a long talk with the oncologist this morning. She told us that they are treating mom with the intent to cure her. I asked her about stages, and survivability. She said that it was stage 3b, that they felt confident that this was treatable and curable. They said that her lungs sound good, and they don't believe that it has spread even though the report on that scan wasn't back yet, but that nothing stood out when she looked at it, so she believed it was fine. Lungs were a big concern for me since she has some feelings of heaviness in her chest, sometimes coughs and slight wheezing(hopefully it's just her asthma). So tomorrow at 7AM, they will do the surgery to insert the kidney stents. Please pray for a successful outcome and quick recovery. Mom is a little sore today, from the different positions she had to lay in, on the hard machine surfaces during the scans yesterday. So that's it for now. She is pretty tired from the radiation treatment yesterday, and has slept off and on all day. Thanks again for everthing.
